Catholic Education Project
The Archdiocese of Port of Spain Archbishop’s Appeal is inviting Catholics to support an ambitious, nation-wide project to help revamp the overall education experience of all RC school children. The project, ‘The Archdiocese of Trinidad and Tobago Catholic Education Plan: Mitigating the effects of socio-economic development challenges through education’ aims to provide high quality education for children in the RC schools.
Within all RC Primary schools, there remain groups of students whose academic performance signals that their learning needs are not being effectively met, and with the introduction of the Covid-19 virus to Trinidad and Tobago, many of these needs and challenges have been greatly exacerbated. A handful of schools have been identified as being in need of immediate support: Diego Martin Girls’ and Boys’ RC, Petit Valley Girls’ and Boys’ RC, Sacred Heart Girls’ and Boys’ RC, Mucurapo Girls’ and Boys’ RC, St Rose’s Girls’ RC, and Rosary Boys’ RC, among others. The children of these schools are in the most dire need of assistance, and together we can offer them the support they need.
Pandemic Relief
T&T, together with the Roman Catholic Church, have provided over 764, 000 meals to those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, distributing thousand of food hampers every month. Even so, there are still many still in desperate need of help.

Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima
Our Lady of Fatima Statue was officially launched to the public on December 31st, 2016 at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. A country tour commenced and the statue visited parishes throughout 2017 bringing Our Lady of Fatima’s message of peace all through Trinidad and Tobago. 2017 has been a year filled of peace, healing, evangelization and spiritual enlightenment from Our Lady of Fatima’s Journey. Throughout the journey Our Lady visited all corners of Trinidad and Tobago from far north as St. Joseph RC Church, Scarborough to deep south as St. Anthony’s RC Church, Point Fortin. During her journey she touched many lives in many different ways. There were many miracles and testimonials from people far and wide from across Trinidad and Tobago. She visited twenty two Parishes and three RC Secondary Schools across Trinidad and Tobago bringing with her a different experience in each Parish she visited. Her Journey has come to an end and Our Lady of Fatima Statue now resides temporarily in Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Curepe until a permanent Sanctuary is constructed.
S.O.S - Support Our Seminarians
As a faithful member of our Church, you may be aware of our severe shortage of priests. Our church needs more priests. They lead our parishes, offering God’s grace everyday through delivery of the Sacraments. They sanctify the milestones of our lives and care for our communities.
Having heard God’s call, seminarians must be properly prepared to serve as priests in our Archdiocese. The Seminary of St. John Vianney and The Martyrs of Uganda (the Seminary), located on Mount St. Benedict, was founded in 1943 as an archdiocesan seminary to prepare priests for service in the Archdiocese. There are 15 Seminarians in training to become priests, 9 of whom are from Trinidad and Tobago, who need your support.
